Global workers serving in a restricted context, J&D serve in the Africa Middle East region, equipping and mobilizing the national church to reach the least reached and most vulnerable. They have been instrumental in partnering with the local Assemblies of God to create a sending agency, conduct training, send families to other nations and reach dozens of villages locally (many with no known believers). Here is a wonderful testimony of one such village visit and how to pray for J&D.
During follow-up visits for a water filter installation, the team had an opportunity to pray with one of the families. Specifically, they were praying for the husband who had recently had a major car accident; everyone expected he would die. The team quickly began to understand how important this visit was going be, not only because of the filter, but because of the prayer that took place.
This time of prayer confirmed to this family many things - God's care for them, God's power, and God's authority over all circumstances. There was no expectation that he would ever get up again, but the following follow-up visit, he was still alive!
One member of the team took the opportunity to deliver a message of salvation and the work of the Holy Spirit began. He said, "I am sitting at home like this because of the accident, but now I must go to the church and not miss a single day of revival until the end of the year!"
PRAY for families like this one, and for increased connections with local believers and organizations who are willing to invest themselves into making disciples amongst the unreached in this nation and throughout the region.
PRAY for more open doors into unreached communities in this nation and those in neighbouring nations for access with the Gospel.
PRAY for J&D’s family, one at boarding school on the continent and one in Canada at university, that God would provide all they need.
