PAOC global workers, Nish & Kristen, serve in Sri Lanka at The Building Up Dreams Centre (BUD Centre) with a goal for every child to know the tangible love of Jesus through practical training, relationship building, and unconditional care. They are praising and thanking God for 10 years of ministry at the BUD Centre. Here are some ways you can pray into their ministry.
God has been faithful to see us through. He always shows himself faithful and true. We have seen God’s goodness in our lives, and in the ministry we have been gifted these past 10 years. We have seen many children express interest in becoming Christians and a number have made that initial decision. Pray for their discipleship and for their journey with Jesus. Our relationships with families and the young people are so precious. We have their support, commitment, and a bond that is special.
Our major outreach each year is the Christmas celebration where we have an open door to share the message of Jesus in this Buddhist context. We are again anticipating joining our community in a variety of ways that deepen our connections. After the celebrations last year, some of the young teens said they had never witnessed people like our staff before. They recognized the difference was our faith. They decided to come to church and follow Jesus! We praise God for His unwavering faithfulness.
