Our congregation has grown from six members in the summer of 2024 to over 50. We thank God for hungry hearts willing to submit to Jesus’ authority.
We have partnered with the national Bible Society and have become a distribution hub for Bibles in one specific region. We have added three local Christians into the preaching rotation who are being discipled for future leadership in the church and were able to hire a local children’s pastor. These are significant steps forward for this least-reached and most vulnerable people group.
We are the only evangelical church in the predominately Muslim neighbourhood. We have a caretaker at the church who is a Muslim, and she has recently started joining our services for worship, preaching and prayer. Roughly a month ago, she asked me if I could give her a Bible. She is on a journey, but I continue to pray for the Holy Spirit to draw her to himself.
PRAY for the caretaker and others like her exploring faith in Jesus.
PRAY for an end to the violence and those responsible for perpetuating this conflict would repent.
PRAY for protection over the congregation, specifically from groups that are seeking to ethnically cleanse the neighbourhood.
