Unreached people are not forgotten—they are simply waiting for the opportunity to hear the Good News. Prayer is the first step in breaking down barriers and opening the way for the Gospel to reach them.

Below you will find resources we have prepared to equip you or your church for this year’s International Day of Prayer for the Unreached.

Hello Pastor,

Fifty days after Jesus’ resurrection, the Holy Spirit was poured out. Jesus explained the purpose:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)

This is why the global Church celebrates Pentecost at the same time as the Day of the Unreached. The power of the Holy Spirit is meant to help disciples make disciples.

Here is our request: consider using one of the videos below on May 24th. You could introduce it with a biblical message about Pentecost and its purpose. Follow the video with a pastoral prayer—or even better, invite two or three members of your congregation to pray, asking God to help us meet this need through prayer.

Each of us can pray. God deeply loves those who have not yet heard that there is hope in Jesus. Together, let’s close the gap for the third of the population that remains unreached and needs to hear this message we cherish.

Together, we can.
