Fear and uncertainty shadow the city’s streets in Kabul, and yet, beneath the surface, faith is quietly growing stronger. Over 600,000 Afghans have fled the country since early 2021, adding to the nearly 6 million refugees now scattered across the world. Families have been torn apart, and daily survival remains a challenge for those who stayed.
Still, the story of Jesus in Afghanistan is far from over. Amid persecution and oppression, the underground Church is alive—and growing. Despite the danger, believers in Kabul are standing firm, gathering in secret, and sharing their faith one whisper, one act of love at a time.
This moment in history is not only a time of great trial but also of great harvest. God is moving through dreams, visions, and the quiet courage of His people. The darkness is real—but so is the light of Christ breaking through. Pray with an Afghan believer here.
PRAY for protection over believers, that they would remain steadfast and hidden under God’s covering as they continue to follow Jesus in secret (Psalm 91:1–2).
PRAY for revival across Afghanistan, that the nation once closed to the Gospel would become a beacon of transformation and peace through Jesus (Habakkuk 2:14).
PRAY for the Taliban and governing authorities, that their hearts would be softened and their eyes opened to the truth of Christ (Proverbs 21:1).
