PAOC global worker, Paul W, has a passion to help offer the life-giving hope of Jesus Christ to trafficked, abused, and broken women and children in South Asia. Here are some of the ways you can celebrate and pray into their ministry.
We are thrilled at spiritual, mental, emotional and physical growth of our rescued girls. They love Jesus, His Word, worshiping Him, and get along with each other. We opened a new literacy centre among the most vulnerable of these vulnerable children, and we are delighted to report that this outreach is growing well. Six of these children were considered so well advanced through the education they received that they were admitted to the government school, which is huge open door and rare opportunity.
At our sewing centre, we were able to give 50 of our graduates a free pedal sewing machine upon their graduation. This has made an incredible difference in their ability to support their family.
Sold by her parents into slavery, Khushi has struggled since being rescued from bonded labour and sexual abuse in 2021. However, this past year has seen a real change in her life and countenance. Where before she seldom smiled, now there is a beautiful smile that often comes across her face. As well, Khushi has become a worshipper of Jesus, and part of our worship team at our local church on our campus. This has really brough Khushi out of herself and deepened her love for Jesus and His Word.
PRAY for the construction of our new Girls Rehab Centre, a larger building for 40 girls, a smaller building for girls pregnant when rescued. Safety for workers on sight, protection for girls on campus.
PRAY for our Director, a Human Rights Lawyer, for continued wisdom in leading all aspects of the ministry.
PRAY for Paul as he travels. His last trip involved a hospital stay with pneumonia. May the Lord protect him physically and spiritually as he provides leadership.
