PAOC global workers, Scott and Melissa Williams, continue to share the hope of Jesus in Barcelona, a vibrant city shaped by many cultures, languages, and spiritual backgrounds. While beautiful and dynamic, many people there have never truly heard or understood the gospel. God is using the Williams family to build relationships, disciple believers, and reflect Christ’s light in everyday life.
Over the past year, Scott has played a key leadership role in one of the most significant projects in the life of the International Church of Barcelona (ICB): the construction of its new permanent home. Despite the long and demanding process, major progress has been made, including the removal of an estimated 1.5–2 million kilograms of rubble, much of it carried out by volunteer teams from around the world. While final government approvals are still pending, this past year has brought strong momentum and encouragement. Scott also serves on ICB’s lead team.
Melissa serves as Global Children’s Pastor, leading children’s ministry across all three campuses and developing weekly curriculum for ages 3–12. This year, she also led four free summer day camps serving more than 400 children, many of whom experienced God’s love for the first time. In addition, she helped organize ICB’s annual Family Day, bringing all campuses together to strengthen community and welcome new families.
Together, Scott and Melissa help oversee the ICB church café, which has become a vital space for connection and belonging. Through every role they serve in, they remain committed to building community and pointing people to Christ in both big projects and everyday moments.
PRAY God grants much wisdom and grace in the construction/remodeling of their new church home, the International Church of Barcelona.
PRAY for Scott and Melissa’s two children, now young adults, in the process of finishing up education, finding their place in the church community and their own ministry positions.
PRAY the Lord provides for their financial needs. It has been a season of learning how to depend more fully on the Lord’s provision this past year.
