PAOC global worker, Louise, focuses on ministering to the youth and children of Haiti. The ChildCARE Plus program in Haiti, managed by Louise, supports 583 vulnerable children, providing education, nutritional support and a place to learn about Jesus and grow in their faith. Louise shares a few recent celebrations:
- The church that Louise & Michel planted continues to disciple children, youth and adults to follow Jesus.
- The nutrition program is run at the school, The Fortress Institution, which has 730 students.
- Gunfire has diminished significantly, granting a slight reprieve from the tension.
Esaie (13) was losing weight rapidly and couldn’t eat. A couple of tests revealed he had tuberculosis. Hospitalization followed by six months of treatment at home, and Esaie is eating again and much healthier!
Eloise (16), a CCP recipient, underwent surgery to remove a benign lipoma several centimetres in size from her back.
Frantz now has a degree in education, teaching at the school connected to the church (Fortress), participating in teaching Sunday School and supporting his family (see photo). All this was made possible because someone sponsored him through CCP from kindergarten to grade 12!
PRAY for Haitian children like these to find hope, healing and a close relationship with Jesus.
PRAY for stability in Haiti: that armed groups would repent or be defeated.
PRAY that young people who have heard the gospel would repent and be baptized.
