Shepherding in Jerusalem

Shepherding in Jerusalem

PAOC global worker, J., continues to serve as pastor of an international church in Jerusalem, where he shepherds a diverse congregation of local believers and Christians from around the world. In a city marked by deep political, cultural, and religious tensions, he is helping people grow in their faith through biblical teaching, discipleship, pastoral care, and intentional community-building. His desire is to see the church reflect the unity of Christ while offering hope and demonstrating His love in a complex environment.

In addition to his pastoral ministry, J. is investing time in research and writing projects that explore reconciliation, the role of the Church in the Holy Land, and thoughtful Christian responses to conflict. Through this work, he seeks to encourage believers to pursue peace, deepen their understanding of Scripture, and faithfully engage with the challenges facing the region.

J. was back in Canada for a brief visit this summer reconnecting with family, meeting with supporting churches and friends, sharing updates from Jerusalem, and preparing for his return to continue the ministry God has entrusted to him.

PRAY for wisdom, endurance, and discernment as J. continues pastoring and navigating ministry in a challenging context.

PRAY for the congregation, that it would be a place of peace, hope, and faithful witness, and that relationships across cultural and national divides would continue to grow.

PRAY for God's provision, protection, and guidance as J. returns home to continue the work He has before him.
