PAOC global worker, Marilyn C, found her call to minister to marginalized and impoverished children and youth living in the capital region of the Philippines after retiring in Newfoundland.
In May, 200 children joined the church VBS to learn about Jesus despite temperatures reaching 47.5 degrees Celsius. With only fans and a passion for children to know the Lord, the team of 24 worked with the children from 7am to noon for five days, pouring into them the Word of God and loads of fun.
Many workers will engage in summer camps, Vacation Bible Schools (VBS) and other outreaches when children in their areas are not in school. Let’s pray that the Word of God planted in their hearts would flourish and they would become discipled followers of Jesus.
PRAY for these 200 children, and the hundreds enrolling in other global worker outreaches (around the world) in the months to come, to develop meaningful, life-long commitments to Jesus.
PRAY the leaders will grow as disciples while they lead others and are being stretched as they mentor the children.
PRAY churches will thrive and grow like Marilyn’s and those where each of our global workers serve.
