PAOC global worker candidates, Darren & Elizabeth, plan to deploy in the fall to serve in Senegal. Their vision is to see lives transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ in Senegal and beyond, as they serve, disciple, and empower local leaders to cultivate healthy, multiplying communities of faith among the least reached and most vulnerable.
During their initial season, significant emphasis will be on language and cultural acquisition, equipping them for effective long-term ministry. They will then be involved in ministries serving marginalized communities, including the deaf, street children, and other vulnerable groups.
In partnership with the National Pentecostal Church and local ministry leaders, they will focus on serving, discipling, and empowering local leaders.
PRAY God would give Darren & Elizabeth grace in language learning, cultural adaptation, and in building strong relationships.
PRAY for open doors among the least reached and most vulnerable, that hearts would be receptive to the gospel, and that God would grant them favor among those they live and serve with.
PRAY for strength, health, and spiritual protection for their family - especially for their daughter as she transitions with them to Senegal, and for their two sons remaining in Canada - that God would guide, protect, and keep them closely connected.
