PAOC Global Workers, Felix & Cecelia, dream to see communities all throughout South Africa transformed into lighthouses—beacons of hope in their country. Here is some of the fruit they are experiencing, and how to pray.
Employment opportunities have been generated through sewing and baking initiatives, equipping individuals with skills and the Word of God. Women who were once marginalized and voiceless, now serve as role models in their communities, empowered to share skills and mentor others. We have witnessed growth in self-assurance and trust in God.
It was wonderful to witness some within the Indian community, who had a strong Hindu background and belief system, give their lives to Christ and trust in Him. To see them participate in the church and continue their walk regardless of outside and family pressures, is a wonderful sight that warms our hearts.
One of our friends, a former gang member, gave his life to Christ and shared with us his challenges and weaknesses, his desire to do better - and do more – despite the stigma. As he was so vulnerable and honest, it brought us joy and hope that God will not stop chasing after His lost sheep.
Along with this comes spiritual warfare and trying to be strong through it all. We know that He is faithful, that it is His battle and that He answers prayers.
PRAY for insight, strength and wisdom as Felix and Cecelia minister to least reached and vulnerable people groups in Southern Africa.
PRAY for spiritual protection as people are delivered from strongholds to surrender to Jesus.
PRAY new believers will grow deep in their faith and find their place in God’s mission.
