It’s been 25 years here in Peru and our goal and prayer as a family, is to see Peru won for Jesus! Our children’s food project is feeding 200 weekly.
Peru is in significant political turmoil. Jerí was Peru’s seventh president in less than a decade and is now being replaced by a member of Congress, who will be expected to lead the country during the election and until the nation’s newly elected president is sworn in on July 28.
The protests are the political manifestation of something deeper: the steady advance of organized crime into everyday life and the collapse of public confidence in the Peruvian state’s ability to protect its citizens.
PRAY for the election of an incorruptible leader who will provide stability to Peru for many years.
PRAY hearts will open to a living relationship with Jesus, and the church in Peru will embrace their call to be on mission with what God is doing in their country and beyond.
PRAY for Dean, Ruth and their daughter, Andrea, to be kept safe, healthy and fruitful in their serving Jesus in Peru.
