Purpose 

This opportunity is seeking mature, servant-hearted individuals who are willing to invest their practical skills, life experience, and ministry gifts into meaningful long-term service. Volunteers will come alongside local ministries and communities to equip, encourage, and support people through both hands-on trades work and personal development initiatives. 

There is a strong desire for volunteers who are humble, teachable, and relational — people who are willing to listen first, learn the local context, and serve alongside others rather than simply arriving as “the expert.” Through practical service, mentorship, training seminars, and community engagement, volunteers will have opportunities to make a lasting impact while demonstrating the love of Christ in tangible ways. 

This opportunity is especially suited for those who are available to serve longer than just a few weeks and who desire to build meaningful relationships while contributing their skills toward sustainable ministry and community development. 

Skills 

Volunteers with practical trades experience are especially needed in areas such as:

• Automotive repair
• Welding
• Joinery and carpentry
• Plumbing
• Electrical work  

There is also a need for individuals who can teach seminars, mentor others, or provide support in areas including:

• Mental health, depression, and suicide awareness
• Substance abuse recovery and support
• Healthy marriage and family relationships
• Abortion awareness and care
• Social media and communication
• Sexual health education
• Prison ministry and rehabilitation support  

The ideal volunteers are spiritually mature, adaptable, and willing to serve collaboratively in cross-cultural settings. Strong interpersonal skills, humility, patience, and a learner’s posture are essential for this opportunity.

Our Missions Global team will walk with you along the way – from application to deployment. Training, administrative support and mission coaching will be provided, along with assistance for promotional and fundraising efforts.
