Dominican Republic

Our passion is to invest in Dominican Republic pastors from multiple denominations and independent churches facing socio-economic, theological, and personal challenges. You can help more Dominican Republic pastors receive personal holistic care, in order for them to flourish in their calling to transform their communities for Christ.

Ministry Focus

Like many other countries, the Dominican Republic battles with domestic abuse, youth delinquency, sex trafficking, poverty, femicide, and drugs. Furthermore, over 90% of evangelical pastors lack theological training, and due to their struggle with poverty, often must work secular jobs during the week.

In response to this, we founded Everyday Ministries Canada in 2006. Through our ministry, we, along with fellow global workers, Ryan and Heather DeWeerd, work with 500 Dominican Republic pastors from over 15 denominations in 120 communities.

Our main role is to lead our Leadership Empowerment and Development (LEAD) ministry, where we train, teach, and mentor small and large groups of pastors and leaders, especially those in rural settings who tend to lack necessary resources. We also partner with local churches and pastors, to organize and execute events focused on reaching and making disciples of people of all ages.

We also help lead pastors retreats and conferences, ladies conferences, seminary and vocational seminars, and our Community and Family Resource Center, that offers counselling and teaching for families. Our overall goal in what we do is to care for a pastor holistically, caring for their spiritual, physical, economic, and social needs.
