Over the past several years, I have volunteered in various ministry capacities. One of my first volunteer experiences was with Youth for Christ, where I helped lead a group of youth living in poverty in our city. I connected with the youth, prayed with and for them, and led by example, providing weekly snacks, messages, and support. At my home church, I volunteered with the youth group for a few years, forming relationships, praying with youth, speaking occasionally, playing games, and offering support in different ways. I also participated in a summer program organized by our church, which brought food and games to children living in poverty in a nearby area. Through this program, I engaged with kids, played with them, and showed them love through sharing food and kindness.
In recent years, I have been heavily involved in a church plant at the University. My pastor and mentor invited me to volunteer a few years ago, and I have been involved ever since. My ministry roles have varied each year, including small group leading, event planning, community service, relationship building, and soon, preaching.
