As a Pastor’s kid, I spent my childhood volunteering in different ways in the church, such as children ministry, nursery, janitorial work, outreach, and tech. My focus was largely on children and nursery ministry, and I volunteered as a junior helper in Sunday School when I was young and as a teacher when I was in my mid to late teens. My family created a church outreach of teaching Martial Arts, and I taught the children’s class. I participated in two missions trips to BC to work with the Gleaners. My desire to develop a deeper relationship with Christ led me to attend Vanguard College, where my Practicum placements throughout three years involved working with Seniors, Syrian refugees, and those experiencing homelessness.
