I am a 3rd year student at Vanguard College in Alberta. I am studying Theology with a focus in Pastoral Care and Counselling. I interned in Dundee, Scotland for summer 2024, where my ministry focus centered on supporting individuals dealing with addictions. My ministry in this Outreach café included serving, conversing, encouraging, and praying. Along with this ministry focus, I also helped in other church ministries, such as Kids programs and Bible Studies.
As a Pastor’s kid, I spent my childhood volunteering in different ways in the church, such as children ministry, nursery, janitorial work, outreach, and tech. My focus was largely on children and nursery ministry, and I volunteered as a junior helper in Sunday School when I was young and as a teacher when I was in my mid to late teens. My family created a church outreach of teaching Martial Arts, and I taught the children’s class. I participated in two missions trips to BC to work with the Gleaners. My desire to develop a deeper relationship with Christ led me to attend Vanguard College, where my Practicum placements throughout three years involved working with Seniors, Syrian refugees, and those experiencing homelessness.
