Since the beginning of our marriage in 2002, we have dreamed of ministering to vulnerable children in the Congo. This dream grew in their hearts for nearly 20 years before beginning to take form this past year.
I (Freddy) am originally from the Congo, and have called Canada home since 1993. I have a master’s degree in pastoral counselling from the University of Sherbrooke and have been in pastoral ministry my whole life. Youth pastor, then an administrative pastor in Montréal, director of my own transition home and senior pastor in Sherbrooke, I am now back in Montréal as lead pastor at Gospelvie Church. I also teach counselling courses at Quebec Bible Institute (Institut Biblique du Québec). In addition, I offer my counselling services to individuals as a member of the Canadian Association of Psycho-Spiritual workers.
I (Colette), originally from Saskatchewan, always knew that ministry would be a big part of my life. After two years of Bible college and a diploma in Business Accounting, I found myself working at a mission organization called LifeForce, where I did short-term missions to Estonia, Ghana and Brazil. It was then that God called me to move to Montréal to learn French, with the intention of returning to do missionary work in Africa. Of course, it was then that I met Freddy and the rest is history! I have always been involved in worship ministry, have a heart for missions and am gifted in administration and accounting. I am presently the office manager for Gospelvie church in Montreal.
We are the proud parents of two beautiful teenage daughters, Jessica, 17, and Olivia, 15.
In 2020 we began the Global Workers training program with the PAOC to take steps towards seeing our dream of working with vulnerable children in the Congo a reality.
