Over 44% of the Tanzanian population still struggles with extreme poverty. As the director for Villages of Hope (VOH) Mwanza, Tanzania, my team of 80 and I seek to care for over 1,200 children across the country, by offering them Christ-centred nutrition, healthcare, education, and discipleship programs.
Our ultimate goal is to break the vicious cycle of poverty by producing confident, hope-filled children, who will grow up to become productive members of their communities. VOH also partners with “Under the Same Sun,” an organization that advocates for the protection of children and youth with albinism.
Additionally, I serve as the lead pastor of Petra City Church, a newly established urban church that seeks to develop biblically-equipped, Spirit-filled believers.
My mission journey began in 2012 when my late wife and I, along with our firstborn—our one-year-old son, packed our bags for a short-term mission to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Eleven years later, my three boys and I are still in Tanzania. After two years in Dar es Salaam, God led us to Mwanza, where we have been serving to this day.
