As a largely secular nation, Estonia has limited gospel witness. Thus, there is a strong need to train people for ministry. Working closely with the Estonian Christian Pentecostal Church (ECPC), I serve as the director of our denomination’s NextStep Bible School.
The ECPC is a young denomination: it’s only 30 years old with 38 churches. Thus, we very much need to train and prepare the next generation of Pentecostal Estonians to serve our denomination. Additionally, we see a considerable need to equip our youth to live in a secular society.
As the director, I oversea our session school, deacon school, and coursework. With a small but strong team, we seek to provide sound biblical teaching, ready ministry opportunities, and necessary student development.
I first met my wife Kaja in 1999, who also happens to be a native of Estonia. We then married and began serving in Estonia starting in 2000. Kaja considers herself to be a missionary to her own country, and thus we have been of one mind and heart serving together. I first focused on youth ministry, working with a team to share the gospel with young people in schools, churches, and through other evangelistic endeavours. My desire to help people grew so that I eventually became a professional coach and a certified Birkman (gifts/strengths test) facilitator. I also earned a Master of Science (Organizational Change) in 2018. Kaja and I have four amazing children: Emily, Mattias, Dominik, and Kristabel.
