My ministry focus is on women and girls who experience poverty and trauma due to gender-based violence, and supporting those who lack access to health care, education and leadership development opportunities.
Gender inequality is one of the oldest and most pervasive forms of injustices in the world. It denies women their voices, makes them vulnerable to gender-based violence, devalues their work in the church and in their communities, and restricts access to tools(like education and healthcare) that will help them, and their families, prosper.
Through your partnership, I train local leaders on values-based leadership, run courses that activate women into leadership (ZOE Identity & Flourish), research the local barriers women face, and work with partners to address context specific solutions. I also actively engage Canadian women and women’s groups to advocate for, pray for, and support women through ZOE Projects.
For the past 17 years, I have served as the Missions Pastor at First Assembly Church in Calgary. I have lived and ministered in over 50 countries and launched the Women of Purpose Conference in Calgary to engage and equip Canadian women for God’s mission. In 2020, I joined the Zoe leadership team to focus on strengthening our global programs to help women thrive and lift each other up.
