Human Resource Manager
Imagine Thailand builds strong communities by empowering youth, students, and professionals, and now needs an experienced Human Resources worker to help strengthen policies and practices. This role involves HR oversight, training, and capacity building, while also fostering friendships across cultures. Volunteers may serve short-term (3 months+) or long-term, with flexibility and cultural adaptability essential. Support includes team connection, onboarding, housing assistance, and orientation provided by Thai and international staff.
Purpose
Imagine Thailand exists to build strong communities, with and through local communities and people. We believe in the capacity of youth, university students and skilled professionals to create a new future for communities in need. As the ministry team grows throughout the country, a person with Human Resources management skills is needed to help assess and strengthen current policy and practices and develop new ones.
Skills
Human Resource experience required, with professional education in HR an asset. Experience with team training and capacity building of others would be helpful. Flexibility, independence and cultural adaptation expected. A person with the ability to build friendships across cultural and language barriers would be able to serve the team effectively.
This opportunity is available for volunteers and those desiring to serve long-term (3-month min for volunteers, up to long-term).
Support
The on-field team consists of internationals, Thai and Burmese nationals. There is a Thai national director in each of the 4 regions. Depending on location, you will be in regular connection with your area team for staff meetings and devotions. We will provide help setting up accommodations and preparing for cultural adjustment with a 1-2 week on-boarding for ministry, including orientation to the local community and amenities.
Our Mission Global team will walk with you along the way – from application to deployment. Training, administrative support and mission coaching will be provided, along with assistance for promotional and fundraising efforts.
