Purpose

This company began by experimenting with small loans for business development 20 years ago and has turned into a profitable and growing micro-credit company with over 120 staff in 8 branches, with thousands of clients. It maintains focus on addressing 3 major issues; economic poverty, social and family disintegration triggered by the necessity of emigration from the country in search of work, and spiritual poverty in the country. Loans help farmers and businesspeople expand to create local employment.

Skills

Candidates should possess a blend of analytical, communication, and cultural competency skills. Proficiency in financial analysis and basic accounting is essential for evaluating loan applications and monitoring financial health. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities are crucial for engaging with local communities and understanding their unique needs. Additionally, cultural sensitivity and adaptability are key, as interns will work closely with diverse populations and must navigate varying cultural contexts with respect and empathy. Fluency in local languages or a willingness to learn will significantly enhance effectiveness and integration into the community.

Support

Many Business as Missions (BAM) companies in the regions where we work can pay competitive local-level salaries for qualified individuals. Expats are generally expected to have an additional financial support structure to provide for needs of repatriation, health insurance requirements, etc.

Our Mission Global team will walk with you along the way – from application to deployment. Training, administrative support and mission coaching will be provided, along with assistance for promotional and fundraising efforts.
